Το Pininfarina SPACE είναι ένα εργαλείο γραφής σχεδιασμένο για χρήση στο διάστημα. Κατασκευασμένο εξ ολοκλήρου από μαγνήσιο, ένα εξαιρετικά ελαφρύ υλικό με υψηλές μηχανικές επιδόσεις, το Pininfarina Space δόθηκε στο πλήρωμα του Διεθνούς Διαστημικού Σταθμού (ISS) κατά τη διάρκεια της τελευταίας αποστολής VITA.Οι αστροναύτες, μεταξύ των οποίων ο Ιταλός Paolo Nespoli, είχαν την ευκαιρία για να το χρησιμοποιήσετε σε συνθήκες μικροβαρύτητας, όπου δεν μπορούν να γράψουν κανονικά στυλό. Το μεταλλικό κράμα το οποίο είναι σφυρηλατημένο με το Ethergraf®, γράφει με οξείδωση χωρίς ανάγκη γραφίτη ούτε μελάνης και είναι επομένως η ιδανική λύση για τις περιβαλλοντικές συνθήκες στους διαστημικούς σταθμούς, όπου τα μικροακτυλίδια που παράγονται με γραφίτη απλών μολυβιών είναι πολύ επικίνδυνα για το σύστημα φιλτραρίσματος.
